Ep.71: Omega-3 Fats and Muscle Function
Omega-3s have many health benefits, but could they be beneficial for athletic contexts as well? In this episode, we do an overview of omega-3s, their food sources, how they differ from omega-6s, and the role of omega supplements. We also discuss recent research that looked at whether omega-3s can help with lean muscle mass preservation, lowering the duration of delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS), and supporting muscle function during injury.
