She recently set the record for the first woman at age 70 to complete the 135 mile Badwater race in Death Valley (referred to as the “World’s Toughest Foot Race”). Her list of athletic accomplishments includes the 7 Marathons on 7 Continents, the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Brazil 135, several Racing the Planet races, and the Route 66 UltraRun.
